New Castle driver Dalton Armstrong turned in a dominating performance to win the 50th running of the Redbud 300 on Saturday.

Indianapolis driver Eddie VanMeter started “Late Model Weekend” at Anderson Speedway with a win in the Sportsman Late Model feature.

Some of the up and coming stars of super late model racing will invade Anderson Speedway for “Late Model Weekend” starting on Friday.

There is already lots of talent on the list of entries to date for the 50th Annual Redbud 300 Presented by Mitch Smith Auto Service and Perfecto, which will take place at Anderson Speedway on Saturday, July 16th. The ARCA/CRA Super Series is celebrating its 20th season of competition in 2016, Anderson Speedway is where the series had its first ever event on Saturday, April 26, 1997. The Redbud 300 will be the 60th series event that Anderson Speedway has hosted since that Saturday in 1997, the most of any track the series has raced at.

The Vore’s Welding CRA Late Model Sportsman Powered by JEGS and the Anderson Speedway McGunegill Engine Performance Late Models are set to battle it out for bragging rights in the biggest event of the season for both groups, the PGG Shootout 150 this Friday at Anderson Speedway, located in Anderson, Indiana, as part of the prestigious 50th Annual Redbud 300 Weekend Presented by Mitch Smith Auto Service and Perfecto. The event will pay $2,500 to win, the highest winning payoff in the 11 year history of the CRA Late Model Sportsman, down to $225 to start.
