United States Air Force Night of Thrills on Saturday Night

Speedway begins the month of September with an action packed event. The United
States Air Force Night of Thrills presented by Harrison College will be featured
on Saturday, September 4.
Race fans will be entertained on Saturday Night with the exciting events from
the School Bus Figure 8’s, Culver’s Trailer Race, Cork Screw Race, Backwards

Moyes III continued his dominance in the Grant Fritz/Greg Dietzen Memorial for
the Legends division by recording his third consecutive win Saturday at Anderson
Speedway.
Moyes, who set fast time during qualifications, ran in the tire tracks of Travis
Braden for most of the middle stages of the race and when lapped traffic
presented him with the opportunity, he powered into the lead. Full Story
Chapman Gets Three Peat, Battles Phipps and Pitts
Curtis Chapman accomplished something that hasn't
been done at Anderson Speedway for 15 years in the Figure-8 division, according
to team owner Terry Malone Jr.
The feature event provided exciting, clean racing between fast qualifier Jason
Pitts, Chapman and Rod Phipps.

Phipps Sweeps WMDH ThunderCars
It was a good night in WMDH ThunderCar
competition for point's leader Rod Phipps. Phipps set fast time, won his sixth heat race of the year
and then scored the feature win.
With the top six drivers inverted Hannah Lundy, the winner
of two consecutive features in the division, and Rob Wyman Sr. started on the
front row.

Braden Scores First Anderson Victory in Legends;
Phipps, Chapman, Holden and Keller Get Wins
Travis Braden, made his first appearance at Anderson
Speedway memorable by capturing the Legends feature on Saturday in the final
tune-up for the 100-lap Grant Fritz/Greg Dietzen Memorial next week.
Doug Dugger grabbed the early lead from the pole position chased by Aaron Holden
and the three fast qualifiers of Braden, Byran Nuckles and Kevin Donahue. John
Robbins moved around Donahue on the second lap.Full Story
Edsall Gets Thunder Roadster Win; Armstrong, McGhee Score Midget Wins
James Edsall III came from the tail of the field
to take the lead with 28 laps remaining en route to the United States Speed
Association Thunder Roadster victory at Anderson Speedway.
Edsall’s “Batmobile” developed a fluid leak during the heat race and after
making repairs started at the back of the pack. Jeff Woods took the early lead
chased by Chris Weddle, Derrick Williams, Darrell Brown and Tony Brickert.
Edsall and fast qualifier Al Renner were the drivers on the move.

Lundy Makes It Two In A Row; Wyman Returns to Claim Second
Two weeks after recording her first WMDH Thunder Car feature win, Alexandria's
Hannah Lundy made it two in a row at Anderson Speedway on Saturday.
Lundy took the lead at the start and for the first five laps was in a heated
battle with Rob Wyman Sr. for the top position.

Strategy Change Pays Off for Allman; Pulls Away for First CRA Win
When local driver Rob Allman realized with the
inversion of the top ten qualifiers for the Anderson 75 for the
Champion Racing Association Street Stocks would put him on the pole position it
called for a change of strategy.
Allman Collects Anderson 75 Win; Lundy, Tharp Also Score Victories
Anderson’s Rob Allman turned in a dominating performance leading all 75 laps to
capture the Champion Racing Association Street Stock feature at Anderson
Speedway on the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Night at the Races on Saturday.
With the fastest 10 cars inverted for the start, Allman started on the pole
position alongside Rich Boyer and rocketed into the lead. Boyer was able to stay
close to Allman until lap 10 when he was black flagged as the result of a

Chapman, Phipps stage Figure 8 battle
Drivers dominate racing action
Veteran
drivers Curtis Chapman and Rod Phipps staged a classic short track battle in the
feature event for the Figure-8 Division at Anderson Speedway with Chapman taking
a narrow victory.
The two drivers were the fastest during qualifications and
ran
one-two in the heat race with the main event of the evening in the feature.

Tharp Slices Through Traffic, Holds Off Teepe for FWD Win
Although Rickie Tharp led all 20 laps to capture
the Front Wheel Drive oval feature on Saturday, he had to slice his way through
lapped traffic over the final laps to hold off a closing Chris Teepe.
Tharp took the lead at the start chased by Brad Bell, Paul
Phipps, Teepe and Jerry Dane.

Goff Makes UMRA History at Anderson; Tharp, Chapman, Edsall and Robbins
Also Score Feature Victories
Fortville driver Terry Goff made history by recording the 116th win of his UMRA
midget career at Anderson Speedway on Saturday on Last Chance Wrecker Night.
Goff passed his nephew, Johnny Goff with an inside pass coming off the fourth
corner and went on to record his fourth consecutive win of the year and fifth of
