IOFS Outlaw Figure 8's Return on Friday Night; Figure 8 Madness and Huge Fireworks Show on July 4th

One of the biggest weekends of the season will take place at Anderson Speedway on Friday, July 3rd and Saturday, July 4th. On Friday Night, the IOFS Outlaw Figure 8’s will return to world’s fastest quarter-mile along with ThunderCar and the Front Wheel Drives Oval Division.

On July 4th, Figure 8 Madness will showcase the also entertaining School Bus Figure 8’s, ImmediaDent Figure 8’s, Culver’s Trailer Race, Mini Van Races and Front Wheel Drive Figure 8’s. The program will conclude with the biggest fireworks display in the history of Anderson Speedway.  Full Story


Neal Captures Street Stock 300; Rose Gets ThunderCar Win

Sulphur Springs veteran driver Scott Neal would not be moved from the racing groove to lead all 300 laps to capture the Champion Racing Association Anderson 300 on Saturday at Anderson Speedway.

The first driver to challenge Neal for the top spot was Noblesville veteran Joe Beaver who stayed glued to Neal’s rear bumper for the first half of the race. Several times Beaver attempted to get underneath Neal in lapped traffic or coming off the corners but was unable to complete the pass.  Full Story


IOFS to Debut Front Wheel Drive Figure 8's on September 5

International Outlaw Figure 8 Series (IOFS) and Anderson Speedway officials have announced that the sanctioning body of Outlaw Late Model Figure 8's will debut a new Front Wheel Drive Figure 8 division.

The first event will be a special non-points event scheduled for September 5, 2009 at Anderson Speedway as part
of the popular Night Of Thrills event. This program will also feature the IOFS Outlaw Figure 8 division.  Full Story



Decaire Gets Winged Sprint Win; Swinford, Bragg Score Victories

Floridas Troy DeCaire took advantage of the inversion following qualifying to lead all 30 laps to capture the HOSS winged sprint feature at Anderson Speedway on Saturday.

The invert of the top 8 qualifiers but DeCaire on the outside of the front row and he was chased for the entire 30 laps by Tim Cox. The driver on the move was fast qualifier Jimmy McCune who drove to a third place finish followed by Eddie Kelly and Chris Neuenschwander.   Full Story

Caleb Armstrong Gets Midget Win; Wilsdon, Welch Record Wins

Caleb Armstrong led all 30 laps but it was not a walk in the park as the top six drivers battled for position in USAC National Midget competition at Anderson Speedway on Friday. Full Story
