15, 2014) - Anderson Speedway
returns to racing action on Saturday, April
19 with McGunegill Engine Performance Late
Models, NASH FM ThunderCars and Front Wheel
Drives on the Oval. The Saturday night
racing program presented by Madison County
Storm Water Quality Partnership will also
include the Madison Church of God Easter
Midway.
The McGunegill Engine Performance Late
Models return after many of the regular
teams competed with the CRA Late Model
Sportsman in the speedway’s opening event on
March 30. Chris Hacker earned that victory
over Jason Atkinson with Eric McGlothlen
completing the podium finishers. K.C.
Spillers and Jack Dossey lll rounded out the
top-five performers.
Saturday will mark the opening point’s event
for the NASH FM ThunderCars. The division
competed in a special non-points event in
March with Jesse Marcum scoring the victory
in the 75-lap main event. He was followed by
Trent Gossar and defending champion Curtis
Chapman. Jessy Bilbrey finished fourth with
Brian Lewis crossed the line in fifth spot.
Jerry Dane has started off the Front Wheel
Drive Oval season with two consecutive
victories to construct a 45 point lead of
Brandon Cook. The remainder of the top five
includes Billy Hooten, Jared Keller and
Dylan Hoppes.
Come early and experience the Madison Park
Church of God Easter Midway that will
feature the Easter Bunny, Face Painting and
an Easter Egg Hunt at 6:30.
On Saturday, April 19, spectator gates open
at 4 p.m. with the racing beginning at 7.
Admission is $12 for adults and $4 for kids
ages 6-12. Children five and under get in
free.
