Anderson Speedway officials have canceled the open practice on Friday, April 8 and the racing program scheduled for Saturday, April 9 due to cold weather. The Mel Kenyon Midgets will be added to the April 16th show next week, the Legends will be added to the April 23 event, the Figure 8’s will run on June 25 and the CRA Street Stocks have been added to the racing program on August 20.

Action Entertainment has released the tentative 2016 racing schedule for Anderson Speedway that celebrates its 69th season on the high-banked quarter-mile oval. The Speedway will continue to showcase Late Models, Figure 8’s, Pro Compacts, Thunder Roadster and the return of the ThunderCars.

The right set-up coming off the corners at Anderson Speedway allowed Eddie VanMeter to score his third consecutive CRA Late Model win at the track.

The City of Anderson Little 500 Festival is now accepting applications for the 2018 Little 500 Festival Queen. The Little 500 Festival generates community awareness and excitement preceding the Pay Less Super Markets Little 500 presented by UAW-GM sprint car race. The nationally sanctioned race draws thousands of spectators and sprint car drivers annually from as far away as California, Florida, Europe, and Australia. Every year the Little 500 Festival selects a young lady from Madison County to receive a $1000 scholarship and to serve as Queen and a community ambassador for various events that take place during the Festival in May.
