Anderson Parks Department Presents Kids Bike Races -- FREE Admission for KIDS

The Season Championships presented by Madison County Storm Water Quality Partnership will be featured at Anderson Speedway on Saturday, September 27 with NASH FM ThunderCars, Front Wheel Drives Oval & Figure 8’s along with Thunder Roadsters. Prior to the racing program Anderson Parks Department presents Kids Bike Races.

NASH FM Season Championships Postponed to Sunday Due to Rain Showers

After two rounds of rain showers, Anderson Speedway officials postponed the NASH FM Season Championships presented by Intersect to Sunday, September 21. The racing program will feature McGunegill Engine Performance Late Models, Street Stocks and Thunder Roadsters.

On Sunday, the pit area open at 3 p.m. with practice at 4 and the racing program starting at 5.

Rain checks will be honored on Sunday, September 21 or any remaining event this season at the value paid.

Dane Gets First title

Jerry Dane set the tone for the Front Wheel Drive Oval division but as the year progressed a number of drivers stepped up to challenge for the championship.

Dane won the first three features to open the season but then faltered in the middle stages of the season before rounding out the year with six feature wins and his first Anderson Speedway championship.

Phipps Drives to Pro Compact Crown

When the Pro Compact class was added to the Anderson Speedway schedule during the 2014 season, Ron Phipps and car owner Kevin Harmon didn’t plan on running for a title.

But when the season ended it was Phipps wearing the champions crown with Jeff Williams driving to a feature win in the final point race of the season for the team.

Claborn Sweeps Pro Compact Action

It was a night of firsts for New Castle driver Ryan Claborn in the Pro Compact division at Anderson Speedway.

Claborn started the night by shattering the qualifying mark set by Chris Jennings of 14.949-seconds established on May 11, 2013 with a lap of 14.740-seconds.

Tunny Claims 65th National Crown

Ben Tunny is no stranger to winning at Anderson Speedway adding the 65th running of the National Crown to his resume on Saturday. Tunny set fast time and led all 100 laps to record his sixth career win at Anderson Speedway. Tunney becomes the first driver to win the National Crown and the three-hour Figure-8 championship at the Indianapolis Speedrome.

Burge Claims CRA Street Stock Victory

Dustin Burge inherited the lead with 15 laps remaining and went on to win his first Champion Racing Association Street Stock feature of the year.
