The rain is beginning to taper off and we are preparing to dry the track which will take approximately an hour. After the track is dry the drivers will have a three hour window to practice, with a 15 minute break before the two hour qualifying window.

Due to non stop showers, the Little 500 presented by UAW-GM practice scheduled for Wednesday, May 24 has been postponed. Pit gates will open at 9 am Thursday morning and practice is slated from 11am until 2pm with round one qualifications set for 2:15pm until 4:15pm. With tight point races in all six divisions at Anderson Speedway the Spring Championships paying double points is crucial to the race teams.

That first victory in a CRA Sportsman Late Model race once again eluded Jeff Marcum when a flat tire with 10 laps remaining gave the victory to R.J. Norton at Anderson Speedway.

Michigan driver Johnny VanDoorn used a bump and run move with three laps remaining to capture the Koorsen Fire & Security 125 for the CRA Super Series late models at Anderson Speedway on Sunday.

The racing program scheduled for Saturday, May 6 Featuring the ARCA/CRA Super Series Late Models, CRA Street Stocks and ThunderCar 100 has been moved to Sunday, May 7. Local teams will be looking to protect their home turf when the Champion Racing Association’s Super Series for late models and Street Stocks make their first appearances of 2017 at Anderson Speedway.

Anderson Speedway President, Rick Dawson, announced during this mornings City of Anderson Little 500 Festival press conference, that Ken Schrader will pilot the #99 sprint car owned by Brad and Tara Armstrong. Kenny is a three time NASCAR Cup Series Winner and 31 time USAC winner through multiple divisions. This will be the first time he will race a sprint car on asphalt.
