Curtis Chapman used an outside move on race leader Robbie Wyman on a restart on lap five and went on to record his third feature win in the NASH-FM Thunder Car division.

With the victory Chapman reduced Wyman’s points lead to single digits with the Season Championships on tap on Sept. 20.

The popular ThunderCar Division returns to Anderson Speedway this weekend as part of the Intersect Championships presented by the Indy Fuel. Championships will be decided in the Harts Auto Figure-8, Marcums Welding Pro Compacts and Thunder Roadsters.

In opening night action for the new Harts Auto Center Figure-8 Jeff Swinford spoiled Josh Tharp’s bid for a perfect night by winning the feature Saturday at Anderson Speedway.

On Friday, August 4 Anderson Speedway will host the Checkered Flag Gala. Gather your friends and put a table together for a fun evening of food, fellowship and entertainment by the Flying Toasters. This event will be held under the pavilion at Anderson Speedway and will be held rain or shine.
