Curtis Chapman hit a hot streak in the final month of NASH FM ThunderCar competition to repeat as the division champion at Anderson Speedway on Saturday, September 27.

Chapman and Robbie Wyman were locked in a season long battle for the top spot in the point’s chase. Chapman grabbed a one-point lead over Wyman on Sept. 6 and claimed the title with a dominating performance in the feature race.

The Season Championships presented by Madison County Storm Water Quality Partnership will be featured at Anderson Speedway on Saturday, September 27 with NASH FM ThunderCars, Front Wheel Drives Oval & Figure 8’s along with Thunder Roadsters. Prior to the racing program Anderson Parks Department presents Kids Bike Races.

Neal Relives the Past

There are not many Cadillac’s that are converted into race cars, but back in the 1980s there was one raced by Jack Neal.

Neal has since returned from active competition but his involvement in racing remains as strong as ever through Motion Motors.

When Anderson Speedway brought late model racing back to the track in 2013, Neal was one of the driving forces.

Dossey Crowned MEP Late Model Champion; Burge Earns Street Stock Title

Billy VanMeter recorded his first victory of the year, but it wasn’t enough to wrestle the McGunegill Engine Performance Late Model championship from Jack Dossey III.

VanMeter set fast time on Saturday at Anderson Speedway for the NASH-FM presented by Intersect Season Championships before rains washed out the racing program.

On Sunday VanMeter jumped into the lead at the start from the pole position, chased by Dossey and Thomas Hufferd.

NASH FM Season Championships Postponed to Sunday Due to Rain Showers

After two rounds of rain showers, Anderson Speedway officials postponed the NASH FM Season Championships presented by Intersect to Sunday, September 21. The racing program will feature McGunegill Engine Performance Late Models, Street Stocks and Thunder Roadsters.

On Sunday, the pit area open at 3 p.m. with practice at 4 and the racing program starting at 5.

Rain checks will be honored on Sunday, September 21 or any remaining event this season at the value paid.

Season Champoinships for MEP Late Models, Street Stocks and Thunder Roadsters...

The Season Championships presented by Intersect will feature McGunegill Engine Performance Late Models, Street Stocks and Thunder Roadsters at Anderson Speedway on Saturday, September 20.

Jack Dossey lll enters the McGunegill Engine Performance Late Models finale with a 65 point lead over Billy Van Meter. Dossey has a division best nine top-10 finishes while Van Meter has posted six top 10s during the 2014 campaign. Third in the standings is Jeff Marcum with Kent Baledge and Rob Allman rounding out the top five in the point standings.

Bear Wins PGG 100 After Late Race Bump and Run

The third time proved to be the charm for Quinton Bear in McGunegill Engine Performance/CRA Late Model Sportsman competition.

Bear used contact with leader Jason Atkinson to take the lead on lap 89 to win the PGG 100 presented by Thompson Builders on Saturday at Anderson Speedway.

Green Earns First Winged Outlaw Figure 8 Series Victory

For the first time in his racing career Chris Green scored a Winged Outlaw Figure-8 Series victory at Anderson Speedway.

Green led all 50 laps chased by series point leader Michael Hadley Jr. for most of the night.

Dugger Repeats in Thunder Roadsters

Doug Dugger used the high groove to pass Brad Kendle on lap eight down the back straight and went on to record his second consecutive win in Thunder Roadster action.

Point leader John Robbins got around Kendle two laps later but was never to close the gap on Dugger.

Bear Wins PGG 100; Green, Dugger Earns Feature Victories

Quinton Bear used contact with leader Jason Atkinson to take the lead on lap 89 to win the PGG 100 presented by Thompson Builders at Anderson Speedway on Saturday, September 13.

Bear used the bumper on Atkinson, who led from the start, to grab the lead but everything changed on lap 96 when the caution flag waved for what was the final time.
