Anderson Speedway President, Rick Dawson, has announced that long time track supporter and flagman, Gary Mong has been appointed Vice-President of Operations for Action Entertainment, Inc., the parent Company of Anderson Speedway. Mong has been an Anderson Speedway fan since childhood and has been involved with the Speedway as an official for many years. He worked for Marsh Supermarkets for 37 years in various capacities of management and after retiring from there, has been a sales agent for Great Deals Savings Magazine. “I am very excited to become involved with the Speedway at this level. The place means a lot to me and I look forward to being a part of its future growth and prosperity” said Mong.
Amy Greenway, Marketing and Event Coordinator for the Speedway, is leaving to assume a position with US Sports Advisors in Indianapolis. She will assume duties in PR and social media for many of the Company’s high profile clients in the sports world. “I sincerely thank the fans and the staff for the opportunity to be accepted into the racing community; that has meant more to me than anything here at Anderson Speedway. The opportunities, experience and knowledge I have gained during my career at the track have laid the foundation for my sports marketing career- something Ill be forever grateful for,” said Greenway. “I will miss the young fans who have developed a passion for racing. Watching them cheer for their favorite drivers and get excited when he or she wins is a forever priceless moment every single Saturday. “
Speedway President, Rick Dawson, commented on both situations “Amy has been a tremendous asset to the Speedway and will be missed. She has laid the groundwork for our future success and we will continue to reap the benefits well into the future” Dawson continued “Gary probably knows this race track better than I. His knowledge of business, sales and racing secures the future of the Speedway for many years to come.”
