Amos Jr. Gets Street Stock Win – Robbins, Chapman Score Victories

When the two front runners made contact with three laps remaining Robert Amos Jr. took the lead from his father on the restart to win the 75-lap CRA Street Stock feature at Anderson Speedway.

For the third consecutive week at Anderson Speedway a touring series of the Champion Racing Association will be visiting the historic racing venue for the first time in 2015.

Bowman, Dawson, Dolder and England Join Little 500 Hall of Fame

A former Little 500 competitor, race promoter, car owner, and event photographer are slated for induction into the Little 500 Hall of Fame on Saturday, May 23, part of Pay Less Little 500 Week. The Class of 2015 will be formally inducted at a luncheon at Anderson Speedway the afternoon of the 67th Pay less Little 500 presented by UAW-GM.

The “Class of 2015” includes: Mike Bowman, Rick Dawson, Max Dolder, and Denny England.

Nolen Racing to Field Entries for Coons, Elliott and Hollingsworth

As he begins his 26th season as a USAC Silver Crown car owner, Greenwood, Ind.'s Gene Nolen has set two high goals for his Whiteland, Ind.-based racing team: win the USAC Silver Crown national championship and the Pay Less Little 500 presented by UAW-GM pavement sprint car race May 23 at Anderson Speedway in Anderson, Ind.

Hoppes Stops Lee’s Streak in Pro Compact Action

Markleville driver Randy Hoppes was able to hold off a charge from Adam Lee midway through Marcum Welding Pro Compact racing action to record his first win of the season.

Lee, who swept the opening night action and two weeks ago won the Vore’s Compact Touring Series at Anderson Speedway, appeared headed for another big night.

Kirby Captures First Street Stock Win

After losing the opening night race of the season with two laps remaining, Jimmy Kirby bounced back to lead the entire distance to capture his first Street Stock Division win of 2015 at Anderson Speedway.

Kirby took the lead following a complete restart when the front-runners attempted to go three-wide in turn one, sending Tyler Marsh into the outside retaining wall in turn two.

Dossey Wins Wild One; Kirby and Hoppes Also Score Victories

Jack Dossey III had an interesting night at Anderson Speedway, but when the night was over and the dust settled he found himself back in victory lane.

Dossey III took the lead on the seventh lap with an inside pass of early leader Jason Atkinson on the front straight following a restart.

CRA Sportsman Make First Visit to Anderson Speedway

The Champion Racing Association’s Vore’s Welding Late Model Sportsman will be making the first of four visits to Anderson Speedway this Saturday. Gates open at 4 p.m. with racing action starting at 8 p.m. The Anderson Speedway Street Stock Division and Marcum’s Welding Pro Compacts are also on the racing card.

Wilkerson To Be Guest Speaker at Little 500 Hall of Fame...

Columbus, Ind., native and former Little 500 competitor Butch Wilkerson will be the guest speaker at the May 23 Little 500 Induction Ceremony Luncheon. The ceremony will take place the afternoon of the 67th annual Pay Less Little 500 at Anderson Speedway.

Wilkerson was a force to be reckoned with during his Little 500 tenure. He competed in eleven events from 1967-79. He drove for some of the most prolific car owners in Little 500 history including: Dizz Wilson, Karl Kinser, and Jack French among others. He set on the front row on three different occasions.
