There will be fireworks on the track at Anderson Speedway and in the skies during two nights of racing action this week. The speedway will be hosting the traditional Community Hospital Figure 8 Madness on Thursday presented by the Anderson/Madison County Visitors Bureau starting at 7:00 p.m. with the Outlaw Figure 8’s in a 50-lap feature at the crossover.

For the final 80 laps and five restarts Hunter Jack was able to hold off Steve Dorer for the victory in the Sport Clips 100 for the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour. The Saturday night event marked the return of the Pro Late Model Series to Anderson Speedway after a two-year absence and it brought Jack his first career win with the series.

After a two-year hiatus from Anderson Speedway the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour returns for the Sports Clip 100. The JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour is a pro late model division with over 20 cars entered for the $2,500 to win feature event on Saturday. The CRS Super Trucks will be making their first appearance of the year and the PGG Thunder Cars are on the racing program.

Morristown’s Jeff Marcum turned in one of the most dominating performances of his career in winning the PGG 100 at Anderson Speedway. Marcum, a three-time McGunegill Engine Performance champion, led the final 81 laps on Saturday on Drive Sober Night presented by the Indiana Criminal Justice Institute to record his fourth feature win of 2019.

The biggest event of the 2019 season for the McGunegill Engine Performance Late Model teams is set for this Saturday at Anderson Speedway. The fifth annual PGG Late Model Shootout will feature 100 laps of action and will serve as a prelude to the August CRA Late Model Sportsman 100 lap feature. The Late Models will be joined on the racing card by the second appearance of the Vintage Racing Organization of America Modifieds, the Hart’s Auto Figure-8 Division and Front Wheel Drive action in the crossover.
