McKinney Finally Gets Oval Championship
Veteran driver Elliott McKinney has watched championships elude him in the past, but was determined that would not be the case in 2021. McKinney closed out the Marcum's Welding Front Wheel Drive season with two consecutive feature wins to add the oval title to the Figure-8 championship several years ago.
Marcum Claims Fifth Late Model Title
For the fifth time in his career Jeff Marcum was crowned the Late Model champion at Anderson Speedway. Jeff Marcum defended his 2020 title in the McGunegill Engine Performance Late Model division scoring six feature wins during the year. The Morristown driver picked up the $1,500 payday from sponsor 1,000 Degree Wood Fired Pizza Saturday on Season Championship Night presented by Cintas.

Summit, Ind., has graciously offered $1500 to the winner of the Late Model feature during Season Championships presented by Cintas. Robbins Repeats in Fritz/Dietzen Memorial
For 37 laps the winner of the 24th annual Grant Fritz/Greg Dietzen remained a three-car battle at Anderson Speedway. But at the end of the race it was John Robbins who emerged as the winner for the second consecutive year. “Winning this race means a lot to me,” Robbins said in the Riley & Sons Victory Lane. “Both Grant Fritz and Greg Dietzen were not just competitors but friends.”
