The popular Thunder Cars will be making their second appearance of the 2015 season at Anderson Speedway this Saturday with a 100-lap feature event.
Anderson Speedway expects to return the Thunder Cars as a regular part of the 2016 racing season.
The Stoops Freightliner Night of Thrills will see the Marcum Welding Pro Compacts in action on the oval along with the Thunder Cars.
There will be a “cork screw” race with drivers having to circle a tire placed at the center of the Figure-8 course and then continue to race on the high banked quarter-mile oval.
The popular Trailer Races return for Figure-8 competition with the object of the event to dislocate an opposing driver’s trailer and complete all ten laps.
In previous Trailer Races there have been boats, a piano, washer and dryer and various pieces of furniture on the trailer.
Spectators will also be given the opportunity to compete on the oval against each other. Competitors are required to wear a helmet and sign a waiver.
Gates open at 3 p.m. with qualifications at 4:30 p.m. and racing action at 6 p.m.
