After a record sold out crowd for the 69th Annual Pay Less Little 500 presented by UAW-GM, Anderson Speedway returns to Saturday Night Racing action this week with the Late Models, Marcum’s Welding Front Wheel Drives and Hart’s Auto Figure 8.
Through the first two races of the season defending Late Model champion Jeff Marcum and Aaron Pierce have posted feature wins with Marcum coming off a strong third place showing in the CRA Sportsman Late Model feature a few weeks back.
Looking to win the Marcum Welding Front Wheel Drive title has found Ron Phipps visiting victory lane twice in feature events, a few weeks ago he won a hard fought battle with Jeff Williams and Nick Warner. The Front Wheel Drives will be competing in a 50 lap feature event.
Ronnie Phipps captured the last Hart’s Auto Figure 8 feature and joined Curtis Chapman as feature race winners. Shawn Cullen and Joe Beaver are close behind in the point standings.
Qualifying is set for 5:30 p.m. with racing action starting at 8 p.m. Adult tickets are priced at $12, $4 for children between the ages of 6 and 12.
