The McGunegill Engine Performance Late Models return to action this Saturday at Anderson Speedway highlighting a racing card that sees the first visit of the Vintage Racing Organization of America Modifieds.
Fans will be treated to 150-laps of feature racing and heat races in all divisions including Spring Championships for the McGunegill Engine Performance Late Models and Street Stocks.
This year two different winners in the McGunegill Engine Performance Late Model Series have found their way into AutoFarm McCrocklin Ford winner’s circle. Scott Tomasik won the opening night feature race and defending speedway champion Jack Dossey III has won the last two races, including the first visit of the year by the CRA Late Model Sportsman.
Dossey has been challenged this year by Jeff Marcum, Ronnie Rose and Danny Trent for the feature wins.
The VROA Modifieds will be competing in a 25-lap feature for cars that have to use a pre-1948 body and an inline six cylinder engine.
Leading up to three appearances over the next four weeks the Street Stock Division will be in action in a 35 lap feature. The Champion Racing Association Street Stocks are in action on June 13 and the month concludes with a 200-lap event for the division.
In action this week Calvin Parham and Jimmy Kirby have scored feature wins with Robert Amos Jr. winning the CRA Street Stock feature in May for his first career win.
The Legends Division returns after a two-month absence from the track. Josh Dietz scored the first feature win of the year.
The Mini-Cups make their first appearance of the year in a 25-lap feature.
Gates open at 5 p.m. with qualifying at 6:30 p.m. and racing action starts at 8 p.m.
