“Winter Blast” Event Returns to Anderson Speedway
Anderson Speedway officials have announced the return of January racing to Anderson’s famous quarter mile oval for the first time since 2012. The event will be sponsored by Meldon HVAC and will be called the “Meldon HVAC Winter Blast”. Anderson Speedway is excited to welcome Meldon HVAC as an Official Partner of the 2025 Season.
The event will be held on Saturday, January 4th at 2:00pm and will feature three racing divisions. The afternoon will begin with a FORD Division Oval event followed by a Front Wheel Drive Figure 8. The FORD Division will also compete in a figure 8 event, with a Front Wheel Drive Enduro concluding the afternoon’s racing action.
Tickets for the event will be $10 for adults, $5 for kids 6-12, and FREE for kids 5 and under. A limited number of seats will be available for purchase in our climate controlled suites for those wanting to stay out of the weather. These tickets will be available for $20 and can be purchased in advance online along with other general admission tickets by clicking HERE!
Pit gates will open for the Meldon HVAV Winter Blast at 11:30am. Rotating practice will begin at 12:30pm along with the opening of spectator gates. There will be a driver’s meeting at 1:30pm followed by Invocation & National Anthem at 1:50pm. Racing will begin at 2:00pm.
Anderson Speedway had previously contested a New Years Day race for many years, giving Anderson area race fans a taste of racing action during the winter. The last time a New Years Day race was contested at Anderson Speedway was 2012. In a current social environment that feeds off of nostalgia, the timing was right to resurrect this once great event.
