ANDERSON – The Champion Racing Association Street Stocks will return this weekend for the second of two 150-lap races this weekend at Anderson Speedway.
The Street Stocks will be joined in competition by the Late Models, Knapp Supply Ford Division and the Thunder Roadsters.
Dalton Conner won the first 150-lap event with Andrew Teepe coming home in second followed by Josh Ebbert Jr. in a race of attrition among the front runners.
A year ago Ryan Amonett and Teepe scored victories in the pair of 150-lap races.
Since 2019 Brett Hudson has won three of the extended races with Dalton Conner, Chuck Barnes Jr. and James Kirby III visiting victory lane.
Alan Williams who scored his first ever Anderson Speedway win with the CRA Street Stocks in a 75-lap race on April 26 is the current point leader chased by Duane Damon and Phil Jenkins.
Local competitors Ebbert, James Kirby and Andrew Cook are all among the top ten in the series point standings.
Kirby has recorded two wins this season with the Vores Welding & Steel Street Stocks with Cook finishing second twice.
The Late Model division returns to action with defending champion Jeff Marcum with two victories with Jason Shively twice claiming the runner-up position.
Marcum has three wins on the season including a CRA Sportsman Late Model victory and Nash Engdahl captured the third annual Madison County 200 for the touring Sportsman Late Models.
The Knapp Supply Ford Division returns to oval action after the 76th running of the National Crown Figure-8 race last weekend won by Curtis Chapman.
Oval race winners include Colin Grissom, Caleb Burge and Randy Owen.
Qualifying is set for 5:45 p.m. with racing at 7:30 p.m.
Adult tickets are $15, $5 for children 6 to 12 years old and free under five.
