Spring Championship Canceled Due to Weather
Anderson Speedway officials have announced that Spring Championships on Saturday, May 3rd has been canceled due to forecasted cold and wet weather. At this time, the event does not have a reschedule date.
“Once again, Mother Nature has decided to interfere with our attempt to host a racing event this spring,” said Jared Owen – VP of Operations. “Upon reviewing the forecast for today and seeing lingering heavy mist as well as cold wind chills, the decision was made to, unfortunately, cancel the Spring Championships event. We hate this for our drivers and our fans, but we also don’t want to create an undesirable experience for both parties by attempting to race in these conditions.”
Anderson Speedway will return to racing on Saturday, May 10th with the CRA/Jegs Tour Great Deals 100 and Spring Championships for Modifieds, Beaver Contracting Legends, and Beaver Contracting Thunder Roadsters. Tickets for the event will be $18 for adults, $5 for kids 6-12, and free for kids 5 and under. Pit gates will open at 12:00pm, front gates will open at 3:00pm, and racing will begin at 7:30pm.
