Rudzik Captures Fritz/Dietzen Memorial

ANDERSON – For the first time since 2019 Greg Rudzik pulled into the Hoosier Lottery Victory Lane in the biggest race of the year for the Beaver Contracting Legends.

Rudzik captured the Fritz/Dietzen Memorial race winning by .243-seconds over Cory Adams Saturday at Anderson Speedway.

Xavier King set fast time, but his night ended on lap 23 in a seven-car tangle on the front straight that brought out the red flag.

The crash also took out a former winner in the division this year, Dalton Conner, and involved the front running cars of Max Olmstead II, defending Fritz/Dietzen race winner John Robbins and Eddie Fosnight.

Rudzik led the final 27 laps with Adams coming home second after starting seventh in the field with Olmsted and Robbins recovering to finish third and fourth with Alex Hess rounding out the top five.

Two-time Marcum Welding Front Wheel Drive campaign Josh Ebbert Jr. closed out the year with a 50-lap race win after starting fourth for the event.

Ebbert set fast time during qualifying and led 31 laps finishing a lap ahead of second place finishing Nick Warner with David Powell coming home in third.

Caleb Burge led 30 of the 50 laps to capture the Knapp Supply Ford Division feature with Colson Gray and Ronnie Phipps rounding out the top three.

John Robbins survived a spin on the first lap to score the win in the Beaver Contracting Thunder Roadster Roval event.

Robbins took over the lead on the third lap and finished ahead of Phil Jenkins and Ryan Demers.
