Poore Earns Sixth Street Stock Title
Anderson, Indiana – Veteran competitor Josh Poore returned to the top of the Vore’s Welding & Steel Street Stock division Saturday night at Anderson Speedway, claiming his sixth track championship.
Poore set fast time in qualifying and started from the pole, leading all 30 laps of the feature in a race slowed just once by caution for a spin involving Andrew Teepe on lap 16.
Teepe was running third at the time of the incident, moving Ricky Craig, Josh Sage and Josh Ebbert Jr. into the top five for the final 14 laps.
Joe Muldoon, looking for his first feature victory, qualified sixth and quickly worked his way into second. He challenged Poore for the lead on several occasions before settling for a season-best second-place finish, one second behind the winner.
Visiting Ohio driver Josh Sage finished third, followed by Teepe and Craig.
The championship was Poore’s first Street Stock title since 2020.
Conner Wins Modified Feature
Dalton Conner set fast time in qualifying and then led all 40 laps of the USA Tires Modified feature. The division championship, however, will be decided next Saturday following a 100-lap feature.
Conner was chased early by Mason Hadley and points leader Poore. On the second lap, Hadley and Poore made contact and both were sent to the tail of the field.
The restart was short-lived as Joe Beaver, RJ Norton III, Tyler DeHart and Corbin Bartlett were involved in a multi-car incident that ended the nights of Beaver and DeHart.
The incident moved rookie Lucas Ball into second, followed by Jason Thompson, Ron Phipps and Josh Ebbert Jr.
Poore was the driver on the move in the closing laps, working his way back to third behind Conner and Ball. Norton and Hadley completed the top five.
Robbins Claims Second Championship
John Robbins completed a championship sweep of the weekend by claiming his second title, winning the Beaver Contracting Thunder Roadsters championship Saturday night.
Robbins set fast time, won his heat race and then led the entire distance of the feature to secure the championship and the race victory.
The win came one night after Robbins claimed his sixth Beaver Contracting Legends championship during Friday’s opening night of championship weekend.
Bartlett Earns Front Wheel Drive Title
Caleb Southerland led the entire distance to score his fourth Front Wheel Drive feature victory of the season.
It was Dustin Bartlett, however, who celebrated at the end of the night after finishing second and securing the provisional Front Wheel Drive championship.
With two nights of championship racing complete, Anderson Speedway has crowned its 2026 champions across seven divisions during championship weekend.
