Open Wheel Competitors Take Center Stage
Anderson, Indiana – The USA Modified Division championship at Anderson Speedway will come down to a 100-lap shootout this Saturday night.
The 100-lap feature, which has fallen victim to Mother Nature twice this season, will finally determine the 2026 champion.
Defending champion Josh Poore is looking to add another Modified title to his impressive Anderson Speedway resume after also claiming the Vore’s Welding & Steel Street Stock championship this season.
Poore enters the weekend in a tight battle with Dalton Conner, who picked up the victory on double-points night last weekend while Poore finished third. Poore holds a 17-point advantage over Conner heading into Saturday, with RJ Norton III still within striking distance.
The battle for the USA Modified rookie of the year title is also coming down to the final event. Lucas Ball holds a razor-thin six-point advantage over Josh Ebbert Jr.
Poore and Conner have each scored two feature victories this season, while Tyler DeHart has also found victory lane for the first time in his career.
The USA Modifieds will be joined by the inaugural appearance of the Outlaw 350 SuperModified Sprint Series, which will make its first visit to Anderson Speedway for a championship-deciding 30-lap feature.
A strong field of 17 Super Sprints is expected for Saturday’s event, adding another open-wheel division to an action-packed night of racing.
The Knapp Supply Ford Division and Front Wheel Drive division will also be in competition Saturday night.
Colin Grissom scored the Ford Division feature victory last weekend and secured the 2026 championship.
In the Front Wheel Drive division, Caleb Southerland has collected four feature wins this season, while Dustin Bartlett has already secured the championship.
Qualifying is scheduled for 5:30 p.m., with racing set to begin at 7:30 p.m.
Adult tickets are $18, children ages 6-12 are $5, and children five and under are admitted free.
With the USA Tire championship on the line and the first-ever appearance of the Outlaw 350 SuperModified Sprint Series, Saturday promises to be a night of high-speed, open-wheel action at Anderson Speedway.
