ANDERSON, IN – Every week Anderson Speedway is the home to exciting racing action but on Saturday it will be mayhem on the high banks.
The Night of Thrills for the 2017 sponsored by Hoosier Park Racing & Casino, The Herald Bulletin, Mitch Smith Auto Service and Perfecto will be highlighted by the ever popular Trailer Race and School Bus Figure-8 competitions followed by a spectacular Labor Day weekend fireworks display.
The Night of Thrills will also see a roll over contest and the Front Wheel Drive division drivers in a variety of racing format.
The Marcum Welding Front Wheel Drive competitors will be in action on the oval for their event where Ron Phipps has won six features this year as he attempts to capture his first track championship.
There will be cross over action with Front Wheel drive Figure 8 action where Nick Warner and Elliott McKinney have scored victories this year.
The same cars will be in competition in the “corkscrew race” where drivers will have to circle an obstacle in the center of the cross over while dodging cars coming in two directions.
Qualifying is set for 6 p.m. with racing at 7 p.m. Adult tickets are priced at $12 and $4 for children between the ages of five and 12. The ticket windows will open at 11:00am to help patrons beat the lines this evening.
