Anderson,IN– Local poets Abby and Hanna Wilson 15, won Walker Music Groups Poem of the Month for April for their poem “Little 500 Race” which is a poem written about the Little 500 Race ran each year at Anderson Speedway. Their poem was set to music and read by Jamey Denison and can be heard here.
Their poem “Racing Legend” was dedicated to their favorite driver Ken Schrader and was runner up in the Walker Music Group Poem of the Month for 2023 both poems are in a Poetry book called Bards Against Hunger Indiana: An Anthology of Indiana poets. You can still purchase the book on amazon.com.
All the streaming royalties from the song poem go to the American Cancer Society from April 15-30.
