There will be a variety of racing action at Anderson Speedway over the next eight days. The action kicks off this Saturday with racing on the high banked quarter-mile oval in five divisions headlined by the McGunegill Engine Performance Late Models.
Two-time defending Late Model champion Jeff Marcum will be looking to extend his winning streak to five against strong competition including Danny Trent and Dustin Burge.
The ThunderCar Division returns to action with Ronnie Rose the most recent winner, his third feature victory of the season.
After a short break from competition the Marcum’s Welding Front Wheel Drives and Hart’s Auto Figure 8 divisions return to action. Ronnie Phipps, Nick Warner and Kyle Allmond have all won Figure 8 features while Randy Owens has dominated Front Wheel Drive racing.
The annual July 4th Figure 8 Madness is set for Wednesday and the Anderson Sprints take to the track next Thursday. The busy week of racing ends on July 7 with the K&M Tool & Die Mel Kenyon Midgets and Vores Compact Touring Series in action.
Qualifying this Saturday is set for 6:30 p.m. with racing action at 8 p.m. Adults tickets are $12, $4 for children between 6 and 12 years of age and under six admitted for free.
