ANDERSON – One of the most unique events for the Vintage Wrench Ford Division is set for Saturday, September 30th at Anderson Speedway.

The Vintage Wrench Ford Division drivers will be competing in the third annual Triathlon on Paint the Night Pink sponsored by Meridian Health Services.

The Ford Division Triathlon is three separate races with the overall champion determined by points.

The drivers will compete in an oval feature, a feature in the reverse direction around the quarter-mile oval and conclude with a Figure-8 race.

Last year there were 29 competitors for the event.

Randy Owen won the two oval races with Michael Phipps scoring the Figure-8 win.

Owen was the overall champion.

In 2021 Jamie Harbin and Dakota Brough won the oval features with Elliott McKinney claiming the Figure-8 victory.

Randy Hoppes was crowned as the overall champion.

The Noble Wine & Spirit Thundercars and Marcum’s Welding Front Wheel Drives will both be making their final appearance of the year.

Qualifying is set for 6 p.m. and racing at 7 p.m.

Tickets are $15 for adults, $5 for kids aged 6-12, and free for all kids 5 and under.
