Anderson Speedway will play host to two traveling series this weekend that will provide fans a wide mix of racing action. The weekend kicks off on Saturday with the Pull-a-Part 200 the third race in the Champion Racing Association Street Stock Division Triple Crown. Anderson Speedway is once again hosting the final race in the separate point fund for the Street Stock competitors.
Colby Lane won the opening race in Ohio and Mason Keller scored the victory in Kentucky. Currently Jason Atkinson is holding a 16-point lead over Keller for the Triple Crown title. Atkinson is the most recent CRA race winner at Anderson Speedway.
In last year’s race Bret Miles Jr. used an outside pass with two laps remaining to drive from third to the victory.
Also on the racing card is the Marcum Welding Pro Compacts and the Legends Division.
Adam Lee is coming off a victory in Pro Compacts last weekend and has won two of the three events. Randy Hoppes recorded the other win.
Josh Dietz and Zack Miller have recorded victories in the Legends Division in 2015.
Gates open at 5 p.m. on Saturday with racing action starting at 8 p.m.
The King of the Wing National Sprint Car Shootout Series for winged sprint cars will be making their first appearance at Anderson Speedway on Sunday in the Royal Purple 50 presented by Tel Mart and Kingdom Racing. Gates will open at 3:30 p.m. with racing starting at 6 p.m.
Bobby Santos III won the opening event at Five Flags Speedway (FL) and Kyle Edwards was victorious at Kalamazoo Speedway (MI). Rain has forced the cancellation of four races in the series.
The winged sprint car drivers will be competing in a 50-lap feature.
Joining the sprint cars on the racing card will be the local Thunder Roadster division in a 50-lap feature race. Doug Dugger and John Robbins have scored wins in 2015.
