Racing action returns to Anderson Speedway on Saturday, September 6 with Stealth Trailers CRA Street Stocks, NASH FM ThunderCars and Pro Compacts.
The Stealth Trailers CRA Street Stocks will make their fifth appearance at Anderson Speedway on Saturday. Drivers that have earned CRA victories this season include Josh Poore (May 3), Bret Miles Jr. (June 21), Jason Atkinson (July 12) and Dustin Burge (August 2).
Poore tops the list in the all-time CRA Street Stock victories at the quarter-mile oval, earning seven feature wins. Drivers that have earned three victories include Rich Boyer, Ronnie Rose, Jason Thomson and Atkinson. Seventeen drivers have visited the Winner’s Circle at Anderson.
In the CRA point standings, Atkinson holds a 69 point advantage over Burge with rookie Jeff Johnson, Josh Lank and former series champion Jimmy Kirby rounding out the top five.
Burge leads the Anderson Speedway Street Stock Point Standings with an 89 point margin over James Kirby. Third is Poore with Andrew Cook and Danny Adams filling out the top five.
The NASH FM ThunderCars feature a close point’s battle with Robbie Wyman leading Curtis Chapman by 15 points. Wyman has earned four feature victories and eight top-10 finishes while Chapman has visited the winner’s circle twice and has tallied six top fives. The remainder of the top five includes Lonny Burton, Austin Russell and Jimmy Hawkins.
Saturday’s event marks the sixth appearance of the Pro Compacts. Drivers with feature victories include Chris Jennings (May 31, June 7, August 2), Kevin Harmon (July 19) and Gary Eaton (August 9). Harmon and Ron Phipps are tied for the points lead with Adam Lee ranking in third spot.
On Saturday, September 6, spectator gates open at 5 p.m. with the racing beginning at 8. Admission is $12 for adults and $4 for kids ages 6-12. Children five and under get in free.
