The final appearance of the 2016 season of the CRA Sportsman Late Models and Street Stocks will take place this Saturday at Anderson Speedway.
On The Herald Bulletin night at the races the looming questions is can anyone stop the winning streak of Eddie VanMeter in Sportsman Late Model competition.
The Indianapolis driver has won six of eight races this year and is on a three race winning streak at Anderson Speedway.
VanMeter turned back a strong challenge during the last visit of the series to the “World’s Fastest Quarter-Mile” from Jeff Marcum, who has recorded four wins in McGunegill Engine Performance Late Model competition.
The CRA Street Stock division action has produced four different winners at Anderson Speedway with Colby Lane the most recent winner. James Kirby III, Jason Atkinson and Josh Poore have all recorded wins.
The Thunder Roadsters return to action where Frankton’s John Robbins has won the last two races and has recorded four feature wins for the year. Dave Osborn has two wins and Doug Dugger has visited the winner’s circle once.
Qualifying is set for 6:30 p.m. with racing action starting at 8 p.m.
Adult tickets are priced at $12 with $4 admission cost for children between the ages of 6 and 12.
