Cowboy Kenny Bartram, Fireworks and Figure 8 Madness Set for Fourth of July at Anderson Speedway
ANDERSON, Ind. – One of Anderson Speedway’s most anticipated holiday traditions returns on Saturday, July 4, as the Best Way Disposal Figure 8 Madness presented by The Scrounge Around combines thrilling crossover racing, freestyle motocross entertainment, the annual Prairie Farms Trailer Race, and a spectacular fireworks display celebrating America’s 250th birthday.
Headlining the special attractions is Cowboy Kenny Bartram, one of freestyle motocross’s biggest stars. A multiple-time X Games and Gravity Games medalist, Bartram will perform his world-famous motorcycle stunt show throughout the evening, giving fans another can’t-miss attraction in addition to the racing action.
On the track, the night will feature crossover Figure 8 competition between the Knapp Supply Ford Division and Front Wheel Drive Division, with drivers navigating the Speedway’s famous intersection in one of the season’s most exciting events.
The always-entertaining Prairie Farms Trailer Race is once again part of the Independence Day festivities before the evening concludes with a fireworks spectacular honoring America’s 250th birthday.
Andrew Evans claimed last year’s Knapp Supply Ford Division Figure 8 victory and later added the prestigious National Crown to his resume when he captured the event in August.
Earlier this season, Rickie Tharp picked up the Ford Division Figure 8 tune-up victory, with Colin Grissom and Curtis Chapman completing the podium. Saturday’s event serves as the final opportunity for Ford Division competitors to sharpen their Figure 8 skills before the 77th running of the National Crown on Aug. 8.
The Front Wheel Drive Division also enters the event with plenty of momentum, as Mike Phipps and Elliott McKinney have each scored feature victories in Figure 8 competition this season.
Qualifying begins at 5:30 p.m., with racing set to start at 7 p.m.
Adult admission is $20, children ages 12 and under are $10, Lap Children are Free.
