In what has been an unusual start to the 2015 season in Legends competition, defending champion John Robbins finally claimed his first wins of the year.

The two top divisions at Anderson Speedway will be in action this Saturday, July 11 on Cow Appreciation Night.

All 4-H and Future Farmers of America members will be admitted free with a valid club identification card when four divisions take to the high banked quarter-mile oval starting at 8 p.m.

The McGunegill Engine Performance Late Models return to action in advance of “Late Model Weekend” at Anderson Speedway on Friday, July 17 and the Stoops Freightliner Red Bud 300 on Saturday, July 18.

The weekend kicks off on Saturday with the Pull-a-Part 200 the third race in the Champion Racing Association Street Stock Division Triple Crown. Anderson Speedway is once again hosting the final race in the separate point fund for the Street Stock competitors.

Champion Racing Association Powered by JEGS officials have released the entry form for the Stoops Freightliner Redbud 300, which will take place at Anderson Speedway in Anderson, Indiana on Saturday, July 18. The 300 lap event will pay $10,000 to win plus bonuses and will be the second event of the JEGS/CRA $100,000 Super Late Model Triple Crown, which will pay a driver $100,000 bonus if a driver can win the Stoops Freightliner Redbud 300, the Battle at Berlin 251 at Berlin Raceway and the 44th Annual Winchester 400 at Winchester Speedway. There is a $10,000 bonus if a driver can only win two of the events. Erik Jones won the Battle at Berlin 251 this past Tuesday.

Due to weather, Anderson Speedway Officials have decided to cancel open practice for this evening. Anderson Speedway will be racing Saturday, June 20 with the PGG 100 featuring 100 laps from the McGunegill Engine Performance Late Models. Marcums Welding Pro Compacts and the return of the Harts Auto Figure 8's will also compete in their Spring Championships. Gates will be opening at 5, qualifications at 6:30 with the Interstate Auto Auction green flag racing starting at 8. Adult tickets are $12, kids 6-12 $4 and 5 and under free. Anderson Speedway encourages all fans to join the texting club by texting SPEEDWAY to 41411 to get immediate updates straight to their pockets.

In his second appearance of 2015 at Anderson Speedway, Scotty Tomasik made a return visit to the winner’s circle capturing the 75-lap feature for the CRA Late Model Sportsman on Saturday.
