Jerry Dane capped his first Front Wheel Drive Oval championship the way he started the season with a feature win.

Dane set fast time during qualifications to start on the pole position and from there led the entire distance for his sixth feature win of the year.

Owens Claims Front Wheel Drive Figure 8 Title; Warner Continues Domination

Nick Warner won his ninth feature win in the Front Wheel Drive Figure-8 Division but the championship went to the team of Jeff Williams and Randy Owens.

Robbins Claims Roadsters Crown

Frankton driver John Robbins captured his fourth feature win of the season on his way to the Thunder Roadsters championship.

Robbins was the fast qualifier and led all 30 laps to record the victory with Doug Dugger, looking to make it three wins in a row, closing over the second half of the race but never able to close to within more than a handful of car lengths.

The Season Championships presented by Madison County Storm Water Quality Partnership will be featured at Anderson Speedway on Saturday, September 27 with NASH FM ThunderCars, Front Wheel Drives Oval & Figure 8’s along with Thunder Roadsters. Prior to the racing program Anderson Parks Department presents Kids Bike Races.

Neal Relives the Past

There are not many Cadillac’s that are converted into race cars, but back in the 1980s there was one raced by Jack Neal.

Neal has since returned from active competition but his involvement in racing remains as strong as ever through Motion Motors.

When Anderson Speedway brought late model racing back to the track in 2013, Neal was one of the driving forces.
