The biggest race of the year for the Champion Racing Association Sportsman Late Models is set for this weekend at Anderson Speedway.
The third running of the Madison County 200 will top the racing program on Ascension St. Vincent Hospital night with $5,000 going to the winner.
Seven-time Anderson Speedway late model champion Jeff Marcum is a perfect two for two this season and is the defending Madison County 200 race winner.
Greg VanAlst took home the victory in 2023.
The race is expected to attract a large field of cars including Hunter and Brett Jack, Casten Everridge, Jason Shively and other local competitors including JP Crabtree and Ronnie Rose.
The racing card includes the Modified Division where three different winners have visited the Hoosier Lottery Victory Lane.
Josh Poore, Andy Cowan and Dalton Conner have all scored feature victories in races that were not decided until the closing laps.
The Knapp Supply Ford Division returns to oval action where Colin Grissom and Caleb Burge have recorded wins.
The Beaver Construction Thunder Roadsters are back in action where Frankton’s John Robbins is perfect in two starts.
Qualifying is set for 5:45 p.m. with racing at 7:30 p.m.
Adults tickets are $18, $5 for children 6 to 12 years old and free under five.
