ANDERSON – The USA Tire Modifieds will be in action at Anderson Speedway with a 50-lap feature event.
The Modifieds will be joined by the first appearance of the Vore’s Welding & Steel Street Stocks, the Knapp Supply Ford Division and the opening event of 2026 for the Front Wheel Drive division.
There were 20 Modifieds on hand for the first event of the season with Tyler DeHart setting fast time during qualifications, but started eighth in the feature.
Defending champion Josh Poore took advantage of the breaks toward the end of the race to record the feature victory chased by Dalton Connor and Joe Beaver.
Since the return of the Modifieds as a regular division Poore and Conner have both scored four feature wins.
A strong field of Street Stocks is expected with defending champion James Kirby and 2024 champion Andrew Cook set to do battle this year.
Conner is expected to compete in both a Modified and Street Stock along with Andrew Teepe, Josh Ebbert and James Kirby III.
The Ford Division saw Ronnie Phipps score the first win of the year over Trent Gossar and Colin Grissom.
With Ebbert advancing to both the Street Stock and Modified divisions for 2026, a new champion in the Front Wheel Drive will be crowned at the end of the year.
Qualifying is set for 4:30 p.m. with racing at 6 p.m. Adult tickets are $15, $5 for children 6 to 12 years old and free under five.
