Greetings in the name of Jesus!

Did you ever hear the phrase “God is watching you?” Well, that is true. God watches over all of us every second of every day. As we look at the text for this message, Jesus was giving the disciples instructions as they went out to share the Gospel and he told us that “the very hairs of your head are all numbered.” That means that God knows you so well that he knows which hair has fallen from your head. Jesus knows everything about you even before you were born, Jesus knew you.

I often wonder sometimes what Jesus would think when he sees us at the track. Would he be proud of us and our actions? What would he say when you were on the front stretch (which is the family section and alcohol isn’t allowed anyway) and spilled your beer on a child and didn’t even say I’m sorry, but instead complained about it and said something like “that child should be on a leash.” Would you have said that to Jesus?

As Jesus spoke to his disciples on the Mount of Olives just before he was to be sacrificed for your sins and mine said (40) “And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, in as much as ye have done it unto the least of these, my brethren, ye have done it to me. (41) Then shall he say also to them on the left hand, depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: (42) For I was hungered, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty and ye gave me no drink: (43) I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not. (44) Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungered, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee? (45) Then shall he answer them, saying, verily I say unto you, in as much as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me. (46) And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.” Mt. 25:40-45 (KJV)

If you look at that passage of scripture, I think that you will find that whatever you have done to someone here on earth, you have done it to Jesus. What if Jesus had been that little child? That little child was just having fun, enjoying being out with mom and dad, watching the cars go “round and round.” I could preach for days on that but I won’t. Jesus never pushed himself on anyone & I won’t push either. I just ask you to look inside yourself and ask “would I do this to Jesus?”

Jesus gave his life on Calvary’s hill so that we might have life eternal. All of us will live forever somewhere, all of us will go to heaven, but not all will stay. All of us will be judged according to what we have done with Jesus. Those who did not believe and accept him as their personal savior will spend eternity in hell. Jesus doesn’t want that for you. He said (16) “For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (17) For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world, through Him, might be saved.” Jn 3: 16-17 (KJV) Seek Jesus out today.

I won’t be there with you Saturday night, as I will be preaching in Columbus, Ohio. But trust and know that at race time I’ll be lifting you up to the Father for protection.
