Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. (2) In my
Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so I would have told you. I go
to prepare a place for you. (3) And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will
come again and receive you unto myself; that where I am there ye may be also.
John 14:1-3 (KJV)
Greetings in the name of Jesus!
As we look at the tragedy, which struck the Hendrick Motorsports family, I am
reminded of this passage of scripture. When God is ready for us to come home to
him there is nothing we can do to stop it. We must be ready, as there is no
promise of tomorrow.
As I reflect on my own life I look at a lot of missed opportunities. There were
times that I should have said I love you, thank you for being there, or just
telling someone that you care. Don’t let these opportunities pass you by.
Jesus told us to love one another. Share that with your loved ones and friends.
I make sure to tell my wife and son every day that I love them. Especially when
I get in my car to go somewhere without them. I don’t know if I’ll get back & I
can’t let that opportunity go by. We all face that possibility of the car crash
every day.
On behalf of the Anderson Speedway, Racing with Jesus Ministries, and my family,
I extend our deepest sympathy and prayers to the Hendrick family and also to
Tony Stewart for the loss of his friend and helicopter pilot.
