Train up a child in the way he should
go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. Proverbs 22:6
Greetings in the name of Jesus!
This week’s message is about our children. Over the last few weeks I have been
standing at the fence on the front stretch during intermission and I have been
watching our children. They wave at me and some speak to me & they say that they
want to be a racecar driver just like those on the track. Then the big one hits
and the drivers come out cussing and fighting. I wonder if they realize just how
many kids are watching them & still want to be like them after something like
that.
I’ve also heard them say that they want to be firemen just like those out on the
track. Then off in the distance coming back from the concession stand, here they
are cussing and going on. I wonder if they realize how many kids want to be like
them.
Whether we like it or not all of us are teachers to our children in some form
everyday. We are, who we are, by how others view us. I don’t mean this to be a
“chew out” I just want it to cause us to stop and think about our actions
sometimes. (me included)
I don’t mean to tell you how to live your life, that’s between you and God. I
just want us to think about our children. If it’s caused you to think about it
then this message has done its job.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMERICA!!!!!!! On July 4th our great nation celebrates its 228th
birthday. I was reading Rev. Pat Evans’ weekly message & he brought out an
interesting point. Did you know that in the constitution of all 50 states they
recognize God as the creator and thank him? It’s just a little something else to
think about.
Go by and read Pat’s article at
www.rwjm.org. Our ministry is
totally funded by your generous donations. If you feel led, go by the website
and make a donation. All donations are tax deductible.
E-mail reaches me at
chaplin@andersonspeedway.com. If you have a prayer need, have a topic you
want me to write on, need a friend; I’m here for you.
That’s it for this week. Go with God for he will always go with you! I’ll see
you Friday night!
May God Bless each and every one of you!
Rev. Carlos
