Winged Sprint Cars Return to Anderson Speedway on Sherwin-Williams Night at the Races
ANDERSON, Ind. — For the first time in several years, a touring Winged Sprint Car series will return to Anderson Speedway as the Tri-State Sprints make their debut appearance during Sherwin-Williams Night at the Races this Saturday.
The Tri-State Sprints have already produced exciting competition in 2026. Former Unified Group Services Little 500 veteran Jason Blonde captured the season-opening victory at Kalamazoo Speedway, while three-time Little 500 winner Jeff Bloom was also among the competitors. A field of up to 16 winged sprint cars is expected to battle at Anderson Speedway with heat races leading into a 30-lap feature event.
Fans will also get their first look at the Mini-Outlaws, which will make their Anderson Speedway debut. The Mini-Outlaws provide many of the thrills associated with the track’s popular Outlaw Figure-8 division and will compete in a 20-lap feature race.
The USA Modified Division returns to action with defending champion Josh Poore leading the championship standings after collecting two feature victories during the 2026 season. Dalton Conner has also visited Hoosier Lottery Victory Lane this year and currently sits third in the standings behind RJ Norton III.
Veteran Joe Beaver has been a model of consistency, recording two podium finishes through the first three Modified events of the season.
The Front Wheel Drive Division will also be in action. Caleb Southerland enters the weekend with two feature wins in three races, while Gaigue Hulett picked up a victory earlier this season and finished second in last weekend’s event. Veteran Nick Warner continues to chase his first victory of the year after posting finishes of third, second, and fourth through the opening races.
Qualifying is scheduled for 5:45 p.m., with racing beginning at 7:30 p.m. Adult admission is $15, children ages 6-12 are $5, and children 5 and under are admitted free. Fans can expect a full night of action featuring winged sprint cars, Modifieds, Front Wheel Drives, and the debut of the Mini-Outlaws at Anderson Speedway.
