Vores Pro Compacts in 100 lap feature
This weekend Anderson Speedway will be hosting “Christmas in July” with a 100-lap feature for the Vores Compact Touring Series.
The Vores series has been a regular visitor to the Anderson Speedway quarter-mile with healthy car counts and close competition.
Bo Hoelscher won the first visit of the series to Anderson. Former winners of 100 lap events have been Jake Albright and Tom Gossar. Justin Brown won a 150-lap race in 2022.
Karter Stark is the current point leader and has an 11-point lead over Hoelscher. Tom Gossar, Trent Gossar and Albright are all within 30 points of the leader.
The Modified Division returns for a second consecutive week where Josh Poore has won two of the four feature events and has set fast time three times.
All four races have been close with Dalton Conner and Andy Cowan picking up feature wins.
Poore leads the point standings over Joe Beaver.
The Marcum Front Wheel Drive Division is back in action where defending champion Josh Ebbert has set fast time five times and has two oval feature wins. Austin Pursley has the other oval victory.
Qualifying is set for 5:45 p.m. with racing at 7:30 p.m.
Adults tickets are $15, $5 for children 6 to 12 years old and free under five.
