One of the most anticipated races of the year will take place when the CRA Street Stocks return to Anderson Speedway for a 150-lap feature event Saturday Night. It is the first of two 150-lap events for the touring Street Stock division on the lighting fast quarter-mile oval with the second appearance set for Aug. 13. Tom Wood Honda and Sherwin-Williams are presenting the night of racing action where Brett Hudson will be seeking to continue his dominance in long-distance Street Stock races.
Hudson won a 200-lap event in 2019 and followed that up with victories in 150-lap races in 2020 and 2021. Josh Poore was the most recent winner capturing a 75-lap feature race in April. New Castle driver Jason Atkinson has won several 75-lap races in recent years, but a victory in the longer distance races has eluded him.
The Noble Wine & Spirits ThunderCars return to action when James Kirby III and Jimmy Kirby both have recorded two feature wins with both Ron Phipps and Randy Owen knocking on the door.
The Vintage Wrench Ford Division is back on the high-banks where Jared Keller, James Mikesell and Dawson West have all recorded feature wins.
John Robbins will be seeking a second consecutive victory in Thunder Roadster action.
Gates will open at 4:00 p.m. with qualifying starting at 5:45 p.m. and racing action at 7:30 p.m. Adult tickets are $13, $5 for children between the ages of 6 and 12 and children under 5 are admitted free.
