Saturday Night Racing Postponed Due to Rain
Anderson Speedway officials have announced that Saturday Night Racing on Saturday, April 19th has been postponed due to forecasted wet weather. The event will be rescheduled for Saturday, May 17th for the Modifieds, Marcum’s Welding Front Wheel Drives, and Knapp Supply Ford Division. The event will begin at 7:30pm. The Beaver Contracting Legends will be rescheduled for Saturday, October 4th as part of the 10th Annual Tony Elliott Classic presented by CB Fabricating.
“With the substantial amount of rain we are forecasted to receive, along with the potential for saturated grounds and areas of flooding, the decision was made to cancel this weekend’s events,” said Jared Owen – VP of Operations. “Unfortunately, Mother Nature has not been on our side this month and we hate it for our racers and our fans. We look forward to closing April out strong with the Spring Fling on April 26th.”
Anderson Speedway will return to racing on Saturday, April 26th for the Anderson Speedway Spring Fling. CRA Street Stocks, CRA Late Model Sportsman, and Vores Compact Touring Series will all be in action. Tickets for the event will be $15 for adults, $5 for kids 6-12, and free for kids 5 and under. Pit gates will open at 1:30pm, front gates will open at 3:30pm, and racing will begin at 7pm.
