Saturday Night Racing Canceled Due to Rain

Anderson Speedway officials have announced that Saturday Night Racing on Saturday, September 28th has been canceled due to forecasted wet weather. The event, sponsored by Wrapco Signs and Cintas, will not be rescheduled.

“The substantial amount of rain we will be getting from Hurricane Helene along with the potential for saturated grounds and areas of flooding, the decision was made to cancel this weekend’s events,” said Jared Owen – VP of Operations. “We will be closing out a great 2024 season next weekend on Saturday, October 5th and we can’t thank the fans enough for their support this season.”

Anderson Speedway will return to racing for the final time this season on Saturday, October 5th for the 9th Annual Ascension St. Vincent Tony Elliott Classic presented by CB Fabricating. The 500 Sprint Car Tour will return for a 100 lap feature to crown the next Tony Elliott Classic champion. The series will be joined by the USSA Kenyon Midget Series, Midwest Champ Karts, and Legends. The Legends event will be the rescheduled Grant Fritz/Greg Dietzen Memorial from this Saturday’s cancellation.

Tickets for the 9th Annual Ascension St. Vincent Tony Elliott Classic presented by CB Fabricating are available online by clicking HERE. Tickets are $18 for adults, $5 for kids 6-12, and free for kids 5 and under. Gates will open at 2:30 PM, qualifications are set for 4:30 PM, and racing will begin at 6:00 PM.
