Racing action returns to Anderson Speedway on Saturday, June 7 with Pull-A-Part Night at the Races. The racing lineup will feature Street Stocks, Vores Compact Touring Series, Front Wheel Drives on the Oval and Figure 8 along with Central States Mini Cups.
The Street Stocks have made three appearances at Anderson this season with track champion Josh Pore earning the feature victory in each of those events. Poore holds a 30 point advantage over Dustin Burge in the point standings with James Kirby, Andrew Cook and Danny Adams filling out the top five.
Saturday’s event marks the initial appearance of the Vores Compact Touring Series (VCTS) on the high-banked quarter-mile oval. In May, Ryan Spillers earned the VCTS victory at Angola (IN) Motorsport Speedway and Chris Jennings was the feature winner at Kalamazoo (MI) Speedway.
In the Front Wheel Drive Oval division, Jerry Dane has collected three feature victories and five top-five finishes to build a 107 point lead over Jared Keller. Third is Brandon Cook with Billy Hooten and Dylan Hoppes filling out the top five.
Randy Owen sits atop the Front Wheel Drive Figure 8 standings with a 61 point cushion over Kamden Creek. The remainder of the top five includes Randy Hoppes, Jeff Williams and Elliott McKinney.
On Saturday, June 7, spectator gates open at 5 p.m. with the racing beginning at 8. Admission is $12 for adults and $4 for kids ages 6-12. Children five and under get in free.
