Josh Poore recorded his second feature win of the season in the Street Stock Division by passing race leader Tyler Marsh with six laps remaining.
Marsh took the lead from the outside pole position with Fred Hopkins, Andrew Cook, Poore and Willie DeHart running in a tight formation.
Cook moved into the second spot with a pass of Hopkins on the second lap with Poore taking the third spot a lap later.
For the next 21 laps Marsh maintained the low line while Cook and Poore battled for the second spot. On lap 24 Cook spun which set up the only restart of the race.
Poore took advantage of the opportunity to use the high line to get around Marsh in turn one. Marsh held on for second followed by DeHart, Cook and Hopkins.
“They both wanted the win bad,” Poore said of Marsh and Cook in the AutoFarm McCrocklin Ford Winner’s Circle. “They were racing hard for position. Both raced me clean and hard.
“I don’t know what happened to Andrew (Cook), Poore said. “If I got into him, I apologize.”
Poore set fast time during qualifications with a lap of 13.975-second with Cook clocking in second quick at 14.034-seconds and DeHart at 14.213-seconds.
Jeff Hopkins recorded his second heat win of the year, leading all ten circuits but had to hold off Cook and Marsh.
Both Cook and Marsh finished less than a second behind Hopkins with Poore and DeHart rounding out the top five.
