Anderson Speedway is playing host this weekend to a wide variety of racing action on Paint the Night Pink night in support of Breast Cancer Awareness.
Star 106.9 and McGowan Insurance is sponsoring the night featuring the USSA Sprint Car Challenge Series, Mel Kenyon Midgets, Interstate Auto Auction Winged Outlaw Figure-8 Series, CSR Mini-Cups and Pure Vape Indy Faskarts.
Gates open at 4 p.m. with qualifying at 5:30 p.m. and racing action starting at 7 p.m.
There will be a silent auction to benefit Making Strides, Midway activities and the opportunity for spectators to walk around the track.
Adults wearing pink will receive $1 off the adult ticket price of $15.
The USSA Sprint Car Challenge Series drivers will be competing in a 50-lap feature and heat races. Aaron Pierce and Chris Windom have won series events on the high-banked quarter mile oval.
The Mel Kenyon Midgets will be making their sixth appearance of 2015 with Kyle O’Gara scoring four victories and Clayton Gaines earning his first feature win.
The series has offered up some of the best racing of the year with O’Gara beating Damien Taylor in the Bob Carey Memorial in the closest finish in series history.
Gaines won with a thrilling last lap pass advancing from the third spot to the AutoFarm McCrocklin Ford Winner’s Circle.
The WOFS is making their fourth appearance with Michael Hadley Jr., Mark Tunny and Jacob Garrigus recording wins. The series will be competing in a 50-lap feature.
Kenny Smith and Brian Cherry have won in Indy FasKarts competition this year and Zachary Tinkle won the first visit for the Mini-Cups.
