Anderson Speedway officials have made the decision to postpone the practice scheduled for Friday, October 19 along with the Tom Wood Stock Car Festival presented by Delmolino Plumbing and EDCO Welding scheduled for Saturday, October 20 due to the forecast of cold temperatures, rain and high winds. There will be an open practice for all competitors on Friday, October 26 and the Tom Wood Stock Car Festival presented by Delmolino Plumbing and EDCO Welding will be ran on Saturday, October 27. The schedule for Saturday will be revised to start one hour earlier. Practice will begin and gates will open at 11:30am with qualifications at 2pm and racing at 4pm. “I had high hopes the forecast would change but after seriously examining the weather forecasts from several sources, it appears we will fight weather all day” says Speedway President, Rick Dawson. “The weather for next week shows it warming up all week long. We look forward to a great day of racing”.
Anderson Speedway will be racing on Saturday, October 27 with the Tom Wood Stock Car Festival presented by Delmolino Plumbing and EDCO Welding featuring 11 divisions of feature entertainment. The racing schedule will include McGunegill Engine Late Models, Outlaw Figure 8’s, VORES Welding and Steel Street Stocks, Indy Faskarts, Midwest Champ Karts, ThunderCars, Legends, Marcum’s Welding Front Wheel Drives, Pro Compacts, Front Wheel Drive Figure 8, and Hart’s Auto Figure 8. Gates open at 11:30am with racing at 4pm. Adult admission is $15. Kids 6-12 are $4 and 5 and under are free!
