New Redbud 400 Format Puts Local Stars Center Stage

ANDERSON, Indiana – A new format will take center stage Saturday night when Anderson Speedway hosts the 60th Annual CB Fabricating Redbud 400.

For the first time, the prestigious event will feature the Vern’s Concrete Late Models and Vore’s Welding & Steel Street Stocks competing in separate 200-lap features, putting local short-track stars in the spotlight with each race paying $5,000 to win.

The new format also creates the largest winner’s purse offered for a Late Model or Street Stock event at Anderson Speedway.

Strong fields are already entered for both divisions, with additional entries continuing to arrive ahead of Saturday night’s racing action.

Nash Engdahl won a 200-lap event at Anderson Speedway one year ago, leading JP Crabtree, Ryder VanAlst and Cassten Everidge to the finish.

Everidge, VanAlst and Terry Fisher Jr. have all visited Victory Lane in Late Model competition at Anderson this season, while Crabtree and Josh Poore are set to pull double duty in both 200-lap features.

The Late Model entry list also includes Billy Hutson, former track champion Jack Dossey III, Caleb Reschar, Jason Shively and the three-car Jack Racing stable of Brent, Hunter and Tanner Jack.

The Street Stock division features a strong group of competitors led by Dalton Conner, who captured two 150-lap victories at Anderson last season. Andrew Teepe and Josh Ebbert Jr. each recorded podium finishes in one of those events, while Jake McElfresh and Alan Williams Jr. rounded out the top three in the other.

Teepe also won a 150-lap Street Stock event at Anderson in 2024, finishing ahead of Jason Thompson and Conner.

Looking to add another major victory to his resume will be Anderson’s Josh Poore, the all-time winningest Street Stock driver at the speedway. Poore will be joined by former track champion Andrew Cook, Kentucky’s Brett Hudson, James Kirby, Casey Victery and Fort Wayne’s Joe Muldoon.

With two 200-lap races, $5,000 on the line for each winner and a field of local stars ready to battle for Redbud 400 glory, Saturday night’s event promises to be one of the biggest nights of racing on the Anderson Speedway calendar.
