ANDERSON – Anderson Speedway officials are bringing a new event to the traditional Night of Thrills action this weekend.
The Carter Express Night of Thrills presented by Uranus Fudge Factory has scheduled Figure-8 racing, the Prairie Farms Trailer races and a 20-minute Grocery Getters event.
The new event is Championship Lanes Bowling.
The event will have competitors trying to knock over as many barrels as possible in two attempts.
The Ford Division will be in Figure-8 action and in the Grocery Getters event any vehicle, except a full-size pick-up truck is allowed to compete.
The ever-popular Trailer Races is sure to bring plenty of mayhem to the Figure-8 course as drivers attempt to dislodge a competitor’s trailer.
There will also be a rollover contest with the drivers trying to score as many points as possible by rolling their vehicles over after rocketing off the ramp.
Qualifying is set for 6 p.m. and racing at 7 p.m.
Tickets are $18 for adults, $5 for kids aged 6-12, and free for all kids 5 and under.
