ANDERSON – The Modified Division at Anderson Speedway has produced some of the most hotly contested events and top the racing program.
The Modifieds are among four divisions competing on O’Reilly Auto Parts night at the speedway.
The local divisions return to the spotlight after the running of the 77th Little 500.
Josh Poore and Dalton Conner have both battled for victory in the first two appearances of the season.
Poore edged out Conner on the Spring Championship night and during the last race Andy Cowan scored his first victory at Anderson Speedway holding off Conner and Poore.
The Vores Welding and Steel Street Stocks will be competing in a tune-up for the 150-lap Champion Racing Association event on June 14.
Defending champion Andrew Cook set fast time in the first appearance but it was Jimmy Kirby recording the win with Cook and Calvin Parham finishing on the podium.
The Knapp Supply Ford Division will be in action with Colin Grissom winning the first feature over Noah Allison and John Robbins.
The Marcum’s Welding Front Wheel Drive division will be in Figure-8 action.
Former Figure-8 winners include James Allender and Nick Warner.
Qualifying is set for 5:45 p.m. with racing at 7:30 p.m.
Tickets are $15 for adults, $5 for kids age 6-12, and free for all kids 5 and under.
