Anderson, IN – Anderson Speedway officials have announced that Saturday’s Madison County 200 has been postponed to Saturday, September 23rd due to local power outage and forecasted thunderstorms in the area during the time of the race.
“Since 2:45 am we have been without power. Unfortunately, we are one of 4000 properties without power in Anderson,” said Jared Owen – VP of Event Operations at Anderson Speedway. “The forecasted of heavy rain and thunderstorms this evening are not conducive for race teams and fans.”
All racing divisions scheduled for tonight: CRA Late Sportsman competing in the Madison County 200, Noble Wine & Spirits ThunderCars, Thunder Roadsters, Marcum Welding Front Wheel Drives will be rescheduled for Saturday, September 23.
Anderson Speedway will be back in action next Saturday, August 12th for the Vore’s Welding & Steel Street Stock 150 presented by Central Indiana Honda Dealers. Racing action will include the CRA Street Stocks, Vores Compact Touring Series, Vintage Wrench Ford Amateur and Pro Divisions. Tickets for the event are $15 for adults, $5 for kids aged 6-12, and kids aged 5 and under are FREE. Gates will open at 4pm and racing is set to go green at 7:30pm.
Tickets for the Carter Express Night of Thrills presented by Uranus Fudge Factory are available NOW for purchase. Fans can purchase tickets Monday through Friday from 10am-4pm by contacting or visiting the Anderson Speedway Ticket Office. Night of Thrills is scheduled for its traditional Labor Day Weekend slot on Saturday, September 2nd. More details will be released at a later date on specific events being held for Night of Thrills.
