Local Poets Help Others In Honor Of Poetry Month

Anderson,IN–Local poets Abby and Hanna Wilson,11, have donated money through the streaming royalties of their poem “Little 500 Race” and a song they co-wrote with their Aunt Nicole.

All proceeds go to the March Of Dimes and American Cancer Society. You can hear their poem and the song on their Aunts webpage at

They also have both poems “Little 500 Race” and “Racing Legend” published in a poetry book Bards against hunger Indiana: which can still be purchased on amazon.com with the proceeds going to charity. It was edited by local poets Stacy Savage and W.B. Cornwell.

Abby and Hanna just got a Proclamation from Anderson Mayor Thomas J Brodrick Jr. with the help of Local Songwriter Steve Wallace for making Anderson,Indiana a National Poetry Month City.

‘We love writing and helping others, and want to Thank Mayor Brodrick and Local poets Stacy Savage and W.B. Cornwell for helping us get published in their poetry books,” said Abby and Hanna in a press release.
