The Kenyon Midget series will be a part of the upcoming “Open Wheel Racing” lecture at the Gilmore Car Museum on Sunday March 2, 2025. The lecture series will be moderated by Fred Otterbein of Equalizer Racing, and will include presentations by Jeff Bloom, Mike McVetta, and Brad Hayes.
Jeff Bloom is a three time Little 500 winner and a National Sprint Car Hall of Fame inductee. Jeff has also posted feature victories in an unprecedented seven decades. He will speak about his “Most Memorable Moments in His Open-Wheel Racing Career”.
Mike McVetta is the 2023 ISMA/MSS Champion. He’s raced supermodifieds and sprint cars achieving several feature wins over the years. Mike is employed as a mechanical engineer at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, and builds his own supermodifieds. Mike’s lecture presentation will be on “Supermodifieds and the Radical Offset Chassis Design”.
Brad Hayes has a long history in the automotive industry and racing. At the end of the 2021 season, Brad purchased the Kenyon Midget Series, a long running series started by brothers Don and Mel Kenyon. Brad’s presentation will be “ The History, Affordability and Entry-Level Appeal of the Kenyon Midget Series”. There will also be a Kenyon Midget on display as part of this lecture.
All race fans, drivers, owners, crew members, promoters, sponsors, media, etc… are welcomed to attend. Buy a general admission ticket to tour the museum and attend the lecture. Museum exhibits are open from 10am to 5pm, and the lecture wil take place from 2 pm to approximately 3:30 pm.
